Favourite Games updated over time

Celeste

Celeste

Celeste is my favourite game of all time right now. Mostly due to its perfectly tuned platforming and level design but because of the insane modding community that can turn a 40 hour to complete 2D platformer into a forever game. One of my best memories is clicking on a B-Side unsure of what it meant and spending far too long trudging through something I was not ready for.

The Farewell DLC is also perfect.

Mod recommendations

  • Strawberry Jam
  • 2020 Spring Collab
  • ik this is the most basic list possible but I'll add more when I play more

Tetr.io

tetrio

My favourite online game. There's a lot more depth than you would expect to playing well if you research into different strategies. This version of the game is really smooth, free, and can be played in the web browser if you like. It can be a little laggy though especially in quick play.

Ace Attorney OG Trilogy

Ace Attorney

Most peoples introductions to visual novels tends to be ace attorney. Each game is split into 4 or 5 cases which increase in scale until a big finale chapter. While some may not consider visual novels "real games", some also don't consider animal crossing a real game so I will put whatever I like on this list. I'm playing the Great Ace Attorney games right now which might turn out to be even better.

Katamari Damacy

Katamari Damacy

A simple concept of rolling up everything in sight, executed almost perfectly with one of the best soundtracks I've heard in a game.

Devil May Cry 5

Dancing dante

Some of the best 3D combat I've played, no filler, just pure combat with gorgeous animation and insane combo potential. Some of the most consistently entertaining AAA games I've played than never falls into the usual tropes of filler to pad out the game's length. The third game is also quite good because there is more Vergil.

Also netflix series coming soon. PLEASE DON'T BE BAD

Banjo-Kazooie

While the later levels drag on a little, Banjo-Kazooie feels like the successor to Super Mario 64, building a more expansive, and detailed world and ditching the mechanic of kicking players out of the level once a star is obtained. I have an amiibo of them permanently on my desk.

Metroid Dread

One of the most tense experiences I've had. The E.M.M.I. are interesting to fight and the difficulty is challenging while still feeling fair. I wish I had the amiibo for this one :(

This list is probably not finished so I might add some more games later. Also see my backloggd page on the sidebar for ratings on every game i play.

Remember, my opinion is objectively true and if your opinion differs from mine you are wrong.
